Running High Availability Adguard Home

I’ve been on the Adguard home train after getting my new Proxmox box and trying it out as a replacement for PiHole. It turns out, it’s great! A ton of great features that make PiHole look quite ancient (which I suppose it is). After blowing up DNS again due to my attempt to use Komga to manage my comic book collection, I resolved to run an Adguard backup.

I don’t want to bother to deal with managing two different installations so I did some looking around and found

https://github.com/bakito/adguardhome-sync/pkgs/container/adguardhome-sync

I installed Adguard Home onto a spare RPi and then, after doing the initial set up, installed adguard-home sync. I ran it as a daemon to sync my primary every two hours and now I’ve got a secondary DNS server specified in my router!
